AJ is the visionary behind Chopshaven Ltd., a culinary venture born out of her love for food, faith, and community. Originally from Nigeria, AJ brings with her a rich heritage of West African cooking traditions, passed down through generations and perfected through years of personal experience and passion.

After relocating to Canada, she quickly recognized a need not just for authentic African cuisine, but for a space where people could gather, connect, and feel at home through food. What began as a home-based catering service has grown into a full-service restaurant in the heart of Saint John, New Brunswick.

Her commitment to quality, cleanliness, and consistency is reflected in every dish that comes out of the Chopshaven kitchen. With an unwavering focus on excellence and cultural pride, Adejumo-Isiuwe leads with warmth and integrity traits that have made Chopshaven a beloved name among locals and newcomers alike.
